Featuring cards from the beginning of the game up to the War of Five Kings cycle, the Valyrian draft set is a very different and exciting way to play A Game of Thrones the Card Game. Players pass cards around the table and dynamically choose cards to build decks with, giving everyone a chance to play with a much wider variety of cards than typically seen in a constructed format tournament. Valyrian draft packs even include “draft format only” agendas, plots, and in-deck cards for added variety and strategy. This is a Bring Your Own Draft Set event. Players can either bring draft packs to play with (to be checked by tournament staff before play) or purchase packs and starters onsite.

Nevermore Northwest Regional Championship

Saturday 12PM – 3PM – 16 players, 4 tables
The 2017 Northwest Regional Nevermore Championship

This game from Smirk & Dagger is a casual-style, card-drafting game in which you quickly build your hand each round, collecting cards you want and poisoning your opponent’s hand by passing along cards you think they can’t use. Whoever holds the most of a given suit, gains the power of that suit to attack, heal, acquire Light or Shadow magicks and score victory points. Will you transform all your rivals into ravens – or can they regain their human form in time to score enough victory to win? The winner of this tournament will get a trophy, a copy of the game, a seat at the first elimination round of the U.S. National Championship at Gen Con 2017, plus a FREE 4-day badge for Gen Con 2017 and a FREE room share with up to 3 other people for 3 nights at Gen Con 2017.

Letter Tycoon Northwest Regional Championship

Saturday 3PM – 6PM – 16 players, 4 tables
The 2017 Northwest Regional Letter Tycoon Championship

In the game, players take turns forming a word using a seven-card hand and a three-card community card pool, scoring money and stock rewards based on their word. Players may use their earned money to buy one letter “patent” in the word they make. In the future, whenever another player uses one of your owned letters on their turn, you earn money from the bank. Letters that are used less frequently have special abilities, increasing their power. When enough of the alphabet has been claimed, players finish the current turn, then score all money, stock and letter patents owned. Create the most valuable empire and you can become the letter tycoon!

Suit Actions are also taken by the winner of each trick, as well as at the end of a full Round of play. Whoever has the most points in Diamond Crystals at the end of the game wins!
